Well, I officially am not done teaching my children about nutrition. At the pool this week, my daughter was starving and begged some money off of a friend of mine (I also have to teach them about refraining from begging). My friend told Tressa she could have some money if got something semi-healthy so her mother "wouldn't get mad". So, after perusing the options, Tressa made her purchase and happily ate her "healthy" snack: Starbursts. WHAT?!? I asked her what part of that is healthy and she said she chose it because it was made of fruit! Aaaahhh -- we've got a long way to go!

This is funny. But it's not far from how many adults think that fruit snacks are made of fruit and are healthy.
